Chris Hack's "The Spinning Room Bar" in Tannersville, NY (near Hunter Mountain) created and hosted their annual rail jam, Halloween Party, and fundraiser on a perfect balmy October night. Kelly Clark won 19 of 20 major competitions she entered last year, making her the winningest snowboarder in the world!! First woman to stomp a 1080 (3 turns) in a major halfpipe competition, even the announcers weren't sure they could believe their eyes at the X Games.

"Reaching New Heights: The Kelly Clark Story" by Natalie Davis Miller tells the inspiring story including some of the keys to Kelly's outstanding success,such as her serious exercise regime, and faith in God. Kelly talks about the Kelly Clark Foundation that helps finance mountain school education for kids.

 Small Empire Skate Park Tour with Tom Weiss

Small Empire Skate Park in Flanders, NJ was designed by Tom Weiss and his friend Sam, to have just about every feature a skateboarder could want including an 8 foot high quarterpipe as well as a bowl quarter starter mini ramp halfpipe, a bowl wall, Euro gap, roller to stairset with hubba, wallrides, A-frame, box, banked ramp, handrails, curved C-bank, a pyramid with quarterpies on the sides that they invented, and more.
Here Tom Weiss gives us a tour of the indoor park and of the well-stocked skateboard shop, and we watch some action. Skate camp, birthday parties, contests, and more.

Mountain Creek January 2012. Snowboard Lessons, Ski Lessons it's a whole new mountain at Mountain Creek with the beautiful new Red Tail Lodge, The Market cafeteria, outdoors at The Biergarten, Schuss on the mezz, and fine dining in the slopeside Hawk's Nest Restaurant.
Lessons are in the new Burton Experience Snowboarding Progression Center. In this video Lauren Traub Teton from SnowboardSecrets.TV takes you from the parking lot to the slopes and shows you what to expect if it's your first time taking a lesson or just your first time at the "new Mountain Creek." Snowboard Instructor Jim Freiband tells us the process and about the unbelievable $30 deal for the 2nd and 3rd lesson with rental and lift ticket.

Mountain Creek, Vernon, New Jersey has 2 BagJump inflatable landing pads, added in the 2011-2012 season. See the red one here, for intermediate snowboarders and skiers to practice tricks and jumps, at the Vernon Main Base.
The blue BagJump will be set up with a bigger jump at the South Base. Nate Galli, BagJump Manager at Mountain Creek shares a few words with us about the exciting new features.
